Colorado Tower will mark Austin’s second high-rise office tower to be built Downtown since the Frost Bank Tower in 2003. Cousins Properties Inc, who also built the monumental Frost Bank Tower, is responsible for this new endeavor and is projecting a December 2014 completion date (the tower broke ground June 2013). 

The 371,348 square foot tower will be located at 303 Colorado Street, in the heart of Downtown’s Warehouse District. Renderings of the 29-story Class-A office building reveal a full glass window façade, resting atop of a wide parking garage base.

Hotel Van Zandt finally broke ground in late August of this year - over six years after the site was purchased by JMI Realty.  The 16-story, 320 room Kimpton Hotel was originally planned as a 29-story hotel and condo tower, but developers recently decided to narrow the project’s scope.
