Another condo development is in the works for the downtown area, but this one will not be as tall as some of the other recently announced condominium towers including The Independent, Fifth and West, and Seventy Rainey. Not much information has been released thus far, but here's what we know: There will be five floors consisting of 13 condos including five different floor plans to choose from. The site where some of Austin’s beloved food trucks once called home has turned into a construction zone as some of you may have noticed. Another office building is in the works for the market district and construction is progressing well. Developed by Lincoln Property Company, the 5th and Colorado Street Tower will rise 18 stories high with a new contemporary glass and metal design. The Rainey Street district has a new future resident! Located at the corner of Rainey Street and Driskill, in the hip historical bungalow turned bar district, Millennium Rainey will be at the center of it all. The mid–rise apartment building will be 8 stories tall with 326 units. The 543,715 square-foot structure, will sit upon 2.21 acres of land, on the site where Lustre Pearl used to reside.
