Hotel Zaza joins the lineup of downtown Austin hotels this week. The management group, Z Resorts Management LLC, is creating a a 24-story hotel, complete with two restaurants, a bar, conference rooms, and private residences on top with rooftop pool. Z Resorts Management is a Texas-based company that already has luxury boutique hotels in Houston and Dallas, and come to the Austin marketplace as a veteran of niche markets.

The Austin skyline has been expanding for years now, and shows no signs of stopping as two new towers look to be on our metaphorical horizon as well. As discussed in an Austin Business Journal (ABJ) article earlier this week, what is being called “Shoal Creek Walk” and two more additions to Block 23 Green Water Treatment Plant will feature two new mixed-use towers that will primarily be office space, though these facts have yet to be officially confirmed.
