On any given day of the week, Austinites have no shortage of exciting and diverse events and festivals to choose from.   Always looking to provide residents with a good time and family fun, Austin has made almost anything into a festival.  From ice cream, to hot sauce, to bats, to motorcycles, to shopping, and everything in between, locals celebrate everything that makes this city unique on a daily basis.

Known as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” it’s no surprise that Austin is home to some of the most famous music festivals and events in the country.   Be “in the music know” with your friends when you attend South by Southwest, a citywide festival that features some of the best up and coming bands worldwide, as well as an interactive and film portion that takes place the week before and is growing exponentially.  

Springtime features an assortment of smaller music festivals nearly every weekend.  Locals spend the summer attending the KGSR Blues on the Green, Unplugged at the Grove, and Symphony in the Park.  One of the most exciting weekends of the year is Austin City Limits Music Festival, when Zilker Park transforms into a musical wonderland featuring some of the biggest bands both nationally and locally.   The year doesn’t conclude until Fun Fun Fun Fest, which is a fairly new music festival that is gaining momentum each year.
