DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALITY
With over 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, Mike Tersigni has cultivated expertise in clientele interaction and hospitality operations. He has worked in a myriad of hospitality businesses — from the national level down to the local; from theme parks to small businesses; to being on the front-lines of spearheading Urbanspace’s Hospitality division. Mike excels at providing pure hospitality services and at all things beverage, and always goes above and beyond for his clients. His leadership mentality is to anticipate his clients’ needs before they realize them.
Heading Urbanspace’s Hospitality division with ease and panache, Mike oversees operations at Codependent Cocktails + Coffee, and is currently working on launch preparations for Bacalar, Urbanspace’s Mexican restaurant concept, planned to open in Spring 2023.
Mike was introduced to the service industry at an early age. His first job was as a busser at MooseBurger Lodge in Six Flags Magic Mountain. Later achievements include opening the Sway Thai restaurant in West Lake Hills, where he received the Best New Business of the Year 2019 award at the Westies Awards Ceremony; and serving as the General Manager of Rebel Cheese at the time they won the Austin Tastemaker’s award for Best New Restaurant in 2020 (the first all-vegan restaurant to win that award!)
Mike enjoys spending his free time with his family. Whether it’s riding bikes, playing board games, watching Disney movies with his sons, going to Top Golf, bowling, or traveling to new places; Mike cherishes every moment with his family. He is a die-hard Seattle Mariners baseball fan and follows all things Seattle-sports. Mike has a passion for tasting beer and spirits; his favorite brewery is Stone in San Diego, and his favorite spirits right now are whiskies from around the world, such as Bain’s Cape Mountain Single Grain out of South Africa, Brenne Ten Single Malt out of France, Amrut Fusion out of India, and Starward Two-Fold out of Australia.
