Walk The Moon at ACL Live

Ohio’s WALK THE MOON has been captivating audiences with their energetic, live performances for the past decade. The band first made a name for themselves by touring in support of their self-titled debut, featuring the indie classic “Anna Sun.” The alt-rock-pop quartet were catapulted into the spotlight when 2014’s “Shut Up and Dance” became a multi-platinum global smash, crossing sonic barriers to top three different Billboard charts.After two years of performing countless sold out shows in 25 countries across five continents, the band returned to the studio to craft their third major label release, 2017’s What If Nothing. The new album shows the band taking a daring step forward, both musically and lyrically, while simultaneously being their most epic and vulnerable.

The Rodeo Austin Gala is one of Austin’s largest black tie affairs! The evening kicks off with a complimentary cocktail hour, which guests can enjoy while perusing the silent auction that continues well into the evening – the mobile bidding platform makes for an easy, fast and fun auction. Guests will also enjoy a gourmet dinner while being treated to live music entertainment. The one-of-a-kind live auction takes place, shortly after the opening performance by Ronnie Milsap, and includes exclusive packages ranging from African safaris to limited edition Winchester rifles. The evening will conclude with a chart-topping, boot-stomping headlining act by Randy Houser that is sure to bring the house down. Yoga in the Garden

Every Wednesday & Friday from 10 am – 11:30 am ; Every Saturday from 12 pm – 1:15 pm

Come experience yoga in the Garden: classes are $10 for members & $15 for non-members. Each class will feature Hatha style yoga led by instructor Brigitte Edery. As weather permits, classes will be the held outdoors; otherwise, they will be held in the Crenshaw Learning Center.All levels of experience are welcome and there’s no registration required. All you have to do is bring your own mat and prepare for an experience for your senses!

 

 


 


School of Rock:The Musical

Based on the hit film School of Rock, this musical will feature 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber, all the original songs and a kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage. Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher, turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping rock band!

Austin Music Awards has honored Austin’s local music community and recognized the best Austin artists, bands and industry masterminds for 36 years. This event recognizes Austin’s outstanding live music achievements from the previous year. The AMA has presented numerous genres of music from Texas, including rock, country, blues, Latino, folk, punk, pop, world, and classical which have forged Austin’s international music reputation.

 

 


 

Austin Marathon & Half Marathon
Downtown Austin
February 18th, 2018

The 27th Anniversary of The Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K is a weekend-long event with over 75,000 visitors and 17,000 runners. Runners will experience Austin at its best by running along iconic landmarks such as UT Tower, The I Love You Mural and Lady Bird Lake. At the finish line, the runners will be greeted by cheering crowds in front of the Texas State Capitol on historic Congress Ave.
