Fortlandia

January 15th-26th, 2020 | Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center 

During Fortlandia, guests can explore a new exhibition of 10 forts custom designed and built by local architects, designers, and artists for the Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum. These creative spaces will transport guests to imaginary worlds and spark an appreciation for art and nature and the curious, wonderful ways in which they intersect.

 

 

 


 

Gallery Exhibit Opening: The Art of a Vintage Ride

Join Texas Folklife at the Texas Folklife Gallery as we celebrate the opening of Exhibit: The Art of Vintage Cars. Tim Higgins will be in attendance to speak about his experiences and creating the exhibit. Refreshments and great company will be provided.

 

 


Snow Day at the Science Mill

3M Half Marathon

3M Half boasts one of the fastest half marathon courses in the country. Enjoy a mostly downhill course that takes you past some of Austin’s finest locations and finishes downtown near the Texas State Capitol.

 

 

 

 

 


Hello, Dolly!

Holiday Window Walk

Visitors can watch the storefronts of 2nd Street District transform into decorative holiday scenes during the ninth annual Holiday Window Walk. St. Edward’s University students will activate both their imaginations and design skills for a chance to win $4,500 worth of scholarships on behalf of the 2nd Street District. The public can vote for their favorite at the 2SD Facebook page. Every vote is entered for a chance to win a W Austin prize pack.

The 55th Annual Trail of Lights is part of the essential Austin experience, lighting up the season with a celebration of community, memories and fun. The annual Tree Lighting ceremony will be held in November, then the 5k fun run will kick off the spectacular season in early December. Armadillo Christmas Bazaar

December 13th-24th, 2019 | Palmer Events Center

This holiday shopping bazaar is a fun, authentic Austin experience – for 11 days leading to Christmas, visitors can shop national and local art, handmade gifts, stocking stuffers and more while enjoying live music from the Armadillo stage and sips from a full bar. This annual tradition and cultural icon is one of Austin’s longest running art and music festivals, attracting around 40,000 shoppers each year.
